Monday 23rd April - Science week.
The children had a box of household items and they had to develop a scientific question to investigate. After some refining, the children investigated a range of topics such as: Which liquid solution will allow a grape to float? Or Which liquid will relate with bicarbonate soda to produce the most gas (to make a balloon to explode)?
Changing of the monarchy - Tudors to Stuarts
We have been learning all about the impact the different reigning monarchs have had on our lives today. We have looked in depth at Henry VIII, and the impact he had in regard to the religious following of the People of England.
We hope to find out even more of this during our trip to Bramall Hall 27th March.
On our first maths day, 5RO conducted an experiment to see if there was a correlation between a persons height and their speed, length of leg and length of jump or length of arm and distance of throw.
We used the world records from Usain Bolt and Mike Powell to inspire us to reach our person goals.
Using practical measuring and the results we were able to plot a scatter graph, which proved that in our school there wasn't a direct correlation between the height and speed.
We will collate the results for the jumps and throws over the coming weeks and present these results.
